Regional characteristics and exploitation potential of atmospheric water resources in China

چکیده

The atmospheric water resources (AWR) in China have evident regional characteristics. In order to scientifically and rationally exploit the AWR different regions of China, we divided into seven based on ERA-5, CloudSat data, so on. Such characteristics as vapour, cloud characteristics, (CWR), precipitation efficiency hydrometeors (PEh), exploitation potential CWR were studied this article. Some results summer are shown. (a) There relatively more precipitation, richer stronger vapour transport convergence, covers, larger zones rich total column content China. Therefore, it is important significance study (b) respect single-layer clouds, low clouds majority over Tibetan Plateau (TP) southwest (SW), medium predominant northern regions, high existed central region (CR) southeast (SE). liquid (LWC) at each height was less than 800 mg·m?3 decreased gradually with increase convective development heights, LWC altitude, frequencies LWCs lower those southern regions. ice (IWC) 250 mg·m?3, 96% them 100 mg·m?3. (c) northeast (NE), north (NC), CR rich, but PEh, there higher these followed by northwest (NW) TP, still some SE SW.

Regional water footprints of potential biofuel production in China

BACKGROUND Development of biofuels is considered as one of the important ways to replace conventional fossil energy and mitigate climate change. However, rapid increase of biofuel production could cause other environmental concerns in China such as water stress. This study is intended to evaluate the life-cycle water footprints (WF) of biofuels derived from several potential non-edible feedstoc...
